We had a wonderful time on the cruise! Both the ship and the scenery were beautiful. Kayaking was a great experience.

Great value, just go in the right season
did this in march and the weather was pretty much perfect warm in hanoi, cool and misty in sapa, sunny on halong bay. loved every bit of it. only reason i'm not giving 5 stars is that a couple of the meals included felt a bit rushed and the portions were on the smaller side. not a huge deal but when you've been trekking all day you're pretty hungry lol. scenery and guiding were both top notch though

3 days, absolutely no complaints
wasn't sure 3 days would be enough but honestly this itinerary is perfectly put together. ninh binh first was such a good call - the boat ride through trang an was so peaceful and way less crowded than i expected. then halong bay on a luxury overnight cruise just took everything to another level. the boat was stunning, like proper 5-star experience: the food, the cabins, the sundeck... i did NOT want to leave. best 3 days i've spent in a long time
